Apopka is located in the Northwest corner of Orange County and the Southwest side of Seminole County.  A few neighborhoods in Apopka are located in Seminole County and attend Seminole County Schools, but the majority of the area is in Orange County.
 
Apopka is the Indoor Foliage Capital of the world and is home to hundreds of growers who ship their plants not only across the United States but to other areas of the world.
 
Apopka, once a rural farming community was at the center of the housing boom during 2004 and 2005 with dozens of new home communites spurring growth for new schools and business development.

Home to Wekiva Springs State Park a Natural Oasis with a large spring fed pond and canoe access to the Wekiva River, this park is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.  Hundreds flock to the park during the summer months to enjoy the water and the natural setting.
 
Apopka is home to new state-of-the-art Elementary and Middle Schools and Apopka High School has just been updated and with new facilities bring a whole new level of quality education to the area.
